Publication Rules and Conditions
First: Technical Requirements
The following technical requirements must be met when submitting a research paper:

Research papers must be submitted electronically and in printed form using Microsoft Word, via the journal’s email or to the Editor-in-Chief at: esa.journal@elmergib.edu.ly.

Page size must be 6.3 inches (width) × 9.54 inches (height), with page margins of 0.79 inches on all sides. Page numbers must be centered at the bottom of the page.

The font type shall be Simplified Arabic for papers written in Arabic and Times New Roman for papers written in English.

Font sizes shall be as follows:

Main title: 16 pt, bold, black

Body text: 11 pt, regular, black
-
Subheadings within the text: 12 pt, bold, black
-
Authors’ names: 12 pt, bold, black
-
Authors’ affiliations: 12 pt, regular, black
Line spacing shall be 1 cm, and Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, …) must be used throughout the paper.

The abstract must not exceed 200 words, and the total length of the paper must not exceed 30 pages (8,000 words), including Arabic and English abstracts, keywords, tables, figures, references, and appendices (according to the journal’s abstract templates in Arabic and English).

The paper’s title, the name(s) of the author(s), the affiliated university/institution, and the correspondence address must appear on a separate page preceding the main manuscript. This is followed by the research pages, starting with the first page containing the title and abstract in both Arabic and English, followed by the full text of the paper.

The paper must include the following components:

Abstract

Introduction

Problem statement

Objectives

Hypotheses

Scope/limitations

Definition of terms

Theoretical framework and previous studies (combined)

Methodology and research procedures, including: research design, sample, research instruments, psychometric properties of the instruments (validity and reliability), procedures, and statistical methods

Results and discussion, including analysis results, tables, figures, and commentary

Recommendations
Finally, references must follow the citation style adopted by the journal, which is the American Psychological Association (APA), 6th edition or the latest edition.
In-text citations should appear in parentheses as follows: (Author’s surname, year of publication, page number) for direct quotations; otherwise, (Author’s surname, year of publication). References must be listed alphabetically at the end of the paper, starting with Arabic references followed by foreign references. -

Tables must be embedded within the text, numbered consecutively, and their titles written above the table in 12 pt bold black font. Tables must not be split across pages. Font size within tables must range between 8 and 10 pt. Explanatory notes and captions for figures should be written below using 11 pt font.

Figures, charts, and images must not exceed half a journal page. Each must have a sequential number and a title written above it in 12 pt bold font.

Mathematical symbols and equations, whether within the text or as standalone equations, must be written using English symbols only, employing MathType equation editor. A description of the symbols used must be provided, and each equation must be assigned a sequential number in parentheses.

Footnotes, notes, and explanatory remarks by the author should be included at the bottom of the page when necessary.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to conduct an initial screening of the manuscript and decide on its eligibility or rejection for publication.

If the paper is accepted for publication, all publication rights shall transfer to the journal, and it may not be published elsewhere in print or electronically without written permission from the Editor-in-Chief. In the case of rejection, the author(s) will be informed of the reasons for rejection without disclosing the names of the reviewers.

Accepted papers will be published electronically on the journal’s page on the university website.

The opinions expressed in the journal reflect those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the views of the journal. The order of papers in the journal does not indicate their importance or the academic status of the author(s).
Second: Administrative Requirements for Publication

The author must sign a declaration form—along with all co-authors, if any—stating that the research has not been previously published and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere until the peer-review process is completed and the paper is published in the journal.

The research paper, or any part thereof, may not be published elsewhere after its approval for publication in the Scientific Journal of the Faculty of Economics and Commerce – Qarah Buli, except with prior written permission from the Editor-in-Chief.

The author agrees to transfer all publication rights to the journal. If the journal wishes to republish the paper, it must obtain written consent from the author.
